HYDERABAD: BJYM National president and BJP Bengaluru south MP Tejasvi Surya was booked by Hyderabad police for allegedly trespassing into Osmania University on Tuesday.
Director general of police M Mahendar Reddy on Thursday said that a case was registered against Tejasvi based on the complaint given by OU authorities.
Tejasvi, who was in Hyderabad to campaign for BJP in the upcoming election, went to OU along with his party supporters. The entrance of OU was sealed and the MP along with others barged into the university by clearing the barricading.
“The university authorities gave the complainant the event was conducted without their permission. As of now case is booked against Tejasvi and others,” OU inspector S Rajasekhar Reddy said.
